The Best Residential Proxies for Social Media & B2B

LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, and similar B2B/social platforms run some of the most aggressive anti-bot defences on the public web — fingerprinting, behavioural analysis, and account-level signals layered on top of IP reputation. Choosing the wrong proxy here costs you in two ways: blocked requests and burned accounts.

Inferred from anti-bot benchmarks

We do not directly probe LinkedIn, X, or Instagram — their Terms of Service prohibit it and we do not want our test infrastructure flagged across providers. Instead we measure each provider against Google + Cloudflare-protected targets (the toughest publicly probe-able stacks). Providers with high anti-bot bypass scores reliably transfer to LinkedIn-class platforms; we corroborate this with field reports and public benchmarks from the scraping community.

Cloudflare- and Google-class anti-bot benchmarks. We do not directly probe LinkedIn, X, or Instagram (their Terms of Service prohibit automated access).

Why Social Media & B2B Platforms is a hard target

LinkedIn uses a stack similar to Cloudflare Enterprise + custom behavioural fingerprinting. X moved to a comparable system after the 2023 redesign. Instagram leans on Meta's internal fingerprinting plus IP reputation. All three penalize datacenter IPs heavily and demand high-quality residential pools with realistic browser fingerprints — exactly what our anti-bot benchmark measures.

Buying tip for Social Media

Pay attention to IP repeat rate

Social platforms flag accounts that switch IP frequently (every-request rotation looks robotic). Look for providers offering sticky sessions of 10+ minutes — this lets you complete a multi-step flow (login → feed → DM) on one IP, mimicking real user behaviour.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you actually test LinkedIn / X / Instagram directly?
No. We only directly probe targets that allow automated traffic in their robots.txt or have no anti-automation clauses in their ToS — Google and our own neutral judges. We infer LinkedIn/X/Instagram performance from a provider's anti-bot bypass on those tougher targets. The inference is well-established in the scraping community: a provider strong against Google's defences almost always handles LinkedIn-class platforms.
Why not test directly anyway? Everyone does it.
Two reasons. First, doing so risks getting our test infrastructure fingerprinted across the proxy industry — every provider would see degraded LinkedIn rates because of us, not their network. Second, it violates the platforms' Terms of Service, which we won't do as a benchmarking authority.
Will my LinkedIn account survive proxy use?
Account survival depends mostly on behavioural patterns (rate of profile views, connection requests, message volume), not proxy choice. A good residential proxy is necessary but not sufficient — you still need realistic activity pacing. We're benchmarking the proxy half of the equation.
